Charles Woodson won the Heisman Trophy with a stellar 1997 season in Ann Arbor, Michigan before heading to the NFL and later leading the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl championship.
Woodson played the cornerback position about as well as any player in college football and NFL history, creating a lasting legacy for every Michigan Wolverines defensive back to follow.
Woodson's son Charles Jr. is a member of the Class of 2027 with designs on following in his father's famous footsteps.
Earlier this week, Charles Woodson Jr. touted an SEC offer from team with a coach who's made waves in recent months as the leader of the Ole Miss Rebels.
"Blessed to receive an offer from Ole Miss!!!" Charles Woodson Jr. wrote on his X account recently.
Woodson claims offers from the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens, Syracuse Orange and the Rebels so far with his father's famous alma mater surprisingly missing from the list.
Michigan's interest is listed as "cool" for Woodson Jr. with no offer extended as the Wolverines continue to build their future classes in Ann Arbor after Sherrone Moore's first season as the team's head coach.
Woodson Jr. is 5-foot-11, 155 pounds with plenty of time to improve his size and strength as his high school career continues to unfold at Lake Nona High School in Orlando, Florida.
