For the first time ever, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings will play a regular-season game in Ireland. A landmark for the NFL and the Steelers, whose late owner Dan Rooney once served as ambassador to Ireland, it's a big game for many reasons.
One of those is that a former Steelers standout, Javon Hargrave, is now in purple, and he, along with the rest of the Vikings' defensive front, is having a great season thus far. But that is just one of the many storylines to watch for on Sunday morning.
I spoke with Vikings expert Tyler Forness of A to Z Sports Minnesota to prepare for the big game. Here are three burning questions ahead of the contest, including what a pair of final score predictions.
"I expect him to play this game like he didn’t miss any time. Addison is one of the best receivers in the game today and might be the most underrated due to his association with Jefferson. He’s in a similar spot to DeVonta Smith in both standing, body type, and having an alpha on the other side. What Addison brings to the game is consistency when it comes to attacking the short areas of the field. Everything in Kevin O’Connell’s offense works better with Addison in the fold."

"This is not going to be the same Vikings defense that Aaron Rodgers saw last season when he was with the Jets. The coverage units still need some improvement from a talent perspective, but they are more than capable of running the coverages that Flores asks them to do. The Vikings lead the NFL in running Cover-2 Zone (33%) and Quarters (21%) per Fantasy Points Data."
"Where this group really shines is up front. They arguably have the best pass rush trio in the NFL outside of the Green Bay Packers, as Jonathan Greenard continues to be a game wrecker on all three downs, Andrew Van Ginkel already has 3.0 sacks, and Dallas Turner has taken a massive step forward. Plus, the defensive tackles have been absurd. It’s not just Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave, but Jalen Redmond has been a phenomenal asset to the Vikings, and Levi Drake Rodriguez has been a tremendous asset as a rotational player. The fronts will give Rodgers fits, as they may lineup eight guys on the line of scrimmage and drop as many as five."

"The Vikings get the benefit of playing back-to-back road games at neutral sites, with the first being on Sunday against the Steelers. With how the team is playing, paired with the favorable matchups, I think the Vikings feel pretty comfortable going into the first-ever Dublin game. The Steelers have a lot of talent on the defensive side of the football and a difference maker at wide receiver in DK Metcalf. However, I expect them to get the victory. Vikings 27, Steelers 17. "

The Steelers dished out a revenge game win in a big way with Jabrill Peppers returning to New England, but now the shoe will be on the other foot as Hargrave aims to get back at the Steelers. I think it will be a cagey, low-scoring affair, with the Steelers relying on their Irish luck to pull it out, 17-14.
