Cam Heyward is in the middle of another contract dispute.
Less than a year removed from asking for and attaining a new deal, Heyward wants another.
That has caused many within the Steelers fan base to push back on Heyward and his request. And Heyward is letting everyone know he's hearing about it...

The quote comes from one of Christoper Nolan's most famous films: "The Dark Knight," the second in his Batman trilogy. What he's insuatating is that throughout his whole career, he's been viewed as a captain, a pillar in the community, and an All-Pro on and off the field.
But now that he wants another contract, he sees a lot of people saying he's wrong and should be grateful for the three-year deal he just signed. The truth, per usual, likely falls somewhere in the middle.
Heyward is coming of a Pro Bowl, All-Pro season, one of the best in his career, yet he's making the 23rd most at the position and has no guaranteed money left on his deal. So it's quite a polarizing situation from the outside, but those close to Heyward don't seem to be worried...
“He's in every meeting. He is a leader," DC Teryl Austin said on Monday. "The stuff that he feels he has to do, that's what he’s taking care of. We’re out there playing. He’s helping. He’s doing all the things he can until it's time to really get going . . .
" . . .I think he’s had like 63,000 [snaps] in his career, so he’s probably good. These guys that played a lot of football, they understand our scheme. It's not like they're in the new scheme doing something new. So I don't even worry about that stuff. I don't give it a second thought.”
This is not like T.J. Watt or any other contract saga the Steelers have been involved in over the years. This is simply a player wanting a raise. I think that sometime in the next few weeks, likely before the season, we will see both Heyward and Chris Boswell resolve their contract issues.
At which point, the Steelers can finally put all of their offseason distractions behind them once and for all.
