The Pittsburgh Steelers have a ton of contract questions to consider during the 2026 offseason. Plenty of players that were drafted by the organization in 2023 are now eligible for extensions, and plenty of the players that fit that criteria are worthy of a good amount of money. So is kicker Chris Boswell, who was due an extension with a sizable raise, and that is exactly what the kicker has gotten.
It has been well-documented that Boswell is one of the best kickers in the entire NFL, and now he is going to be paid like it. He was only signed through the 2026 season on a four-year, $20 million deal, but on Monday it was reported that the kicker and the Steelers have agreed to terms on a new extension.
Steelers have agreed to terms with K Chris Boswell on a four-year, $28 million extension. The $7 million average per year ties him with Brandon Aubrey for highest paid kicker in NFL history, per CAA Football. Boswell is now locked in with the Steelers through the 2030 season.

The kicker is now going to be with the Steelers through the 2030 season, which is great news for both sides. Boswell has played a major role in so many wins for the franchise over the years, and he certainly deserves to be tied as the league's highest-paid kicker.
