As the Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing to hopefully extend their lead in the AFC North, they're making some roster moves ahead of the Week 14 matchup with the Cleveland Browns.
The Steelers lead the idle Baltimore Ravens in the race for the division by one game. They can increase that to a game and a half with a win at home on Sunday.
On Friday, the team announced they were making a pair of practice squad moves, releasing defensive tackle Domenique Davis to make a spot for running back Jonathan Ward.
Ward was waived from the active roster on Wednesday after running out of gameday elevations for the year. He went unclaimed, allowing the Steelers to bring him back.
Davis joined the Pittsburgh practice squad on Nov. 6 after being cut by Cincinnati on Oct. 22. He appeared in two games for the Bengals in 2022.
The 28-year-old Davis played 10 games for the then-USFL's Houston Gamblers that same year before joining Cincinnati.
