The Pittsburgh Steelers edged the Baltimore Ravens 18-16 at Acrisure Stadium, with linebacker Payton Wilson delivering a pivotal late-game interception that helped seal the victory.

The Steelers maintained their lead in the AFC North, bolstered by a defense that made key plays when it mattered most.

With the Ravens threatening on their own 40-yard line, Wilson intercepted a pass intended for running back Justice Hill, showcasing his instinct and technique. Reflecting on the play postgame, Wilson detailed his approach.

“No, I wasn’t looking. I was chasing him [Justice Hill] on a wheel route. Like I said, I went under the pick route. Once you go under a pick route, you’re in chase mode. Once his hands go up, I played through his hands, and the ball happened to be there, and I took it from him.” said Wilson post-game.

Wilson’s interception came on the heels of a Ravens penalty that negated a long completion to Derrick Henry. The momentum swing allowed Pittsburgh to regain possession and control the clock, ensuring the Ravens would not mount a late comeback.

The Steelers defense held Lamar Jackson to 207 passing yards and one touchdown while forcing two turnovers, including Wilson’s interception. Chris Boswell accounted for all 18 points with six field goals, providing the scoring edge Pittsburgh needed in a tightly contested battle.

Pittsburgh will look to build on this defensive performance as they prepare for a divisional showdown against the Cleveland Browns in Week 12. With players like Wilson stepping up in crucial moments, the Steelers aim to maintain their grip on the competitive AFC North and further solidify their playoff positioning.
