The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing back one of their practice squad defenders, re-signing defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko, according to the NFL's transaction page.
Fehoko signed with the Steelers last season but failed to make the initial 53-man roster, losing the positional competition to Isaiahh Loudermilk and Armon Watts. He then signed to the practice squad before, eventually being called up to replace Cam Heyward following his groin surgery.
During his time on the active roster, he did not log a snap.
Fehoko has 19 games, including four stars, all coming with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Steelers will look for Fehoko to compete for a roster spot once again this season. A big run stuffer, he should be considered a candidate for the nose tackle position, especially if Keeanu Benton moves to either defensive tackle spot.
He won't be favored heading into training camp, but the Steelers will get another look at the 27-year-old defensive tackle.
