Pittsburgh Steelers' rookie quarterback Will Howard has suddenly found himself in an unbelievable position.
When the Steelers drafted him in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, there was a lot of uncertainty surrounding the QB position after the team decided to part ways with both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.
Last week, the Steelers announced that they had agreed to terms with four-time AP MVP Aaron Rodgers as the team's new quarterback. For Howard, this presents itself as a tremendous opportunity to learn from one of the greatest players to ever pick up a football.
Speaking to the press in a recent interview, Howard admitted that this is exactly what he has been doing over the past week.
“When he says it, he’s like, ‘I don’t want to overstep,’ I’m like, ‘dude, you’re—please, please by all means, tell me whatever you think,” Howard said.

It has only been a few days since Howard became teammates with the 10-time Pro Bowler, and already, the young man considers Rodgers to be a "great mentor."
It appears that Rodgers has been very respectful, too, in terms of giving advice to his young teammate, who is 18 years younger than him. So much so that Howard has even had to encourage Rodgers to "overstep."
Howard figures as the Steelers' third-string QB this coming season behind Rodgers and Mason Rudolph. The former Ohio State star likely won't get too much run in his rookie year, but there's no denying that the opportunity to learn under Rodgers' tutelage is a priceless experience.
