The Pittsburgh Steelers are still a hot topic around the NFL, as the Aaron Rodgers saga doesn't seem to be coming to an end anytime soon. The veteran quarterback has yet to make a decision on whether he'll extend his NFL career or retire.

The Steelers were mentioned as the only option he had to continue his career, following the Minnesota Vikings' decision to rule themselves out of the race and the New York Giants' addition of two veterans, Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson.

Rodgers could now face a big question, as the New Orleans Saints are another team in need of a quarterback following Derek Carr's decision to retire.

While they wait for the four-time NFL MVP, Pittsburgh continues to work on assembling a competitive squad for the 2025 campaign.

The 2025 offseason has been busy for Mike Tomlin and Co. They had initially paired George Pickens with DK Metcalf following a trade for the Seattle Seahawks' star wide receiver. Pickens was then sent to the Dallas Cowboys, leaving the team in the same position they were before Metcalf's arrival.

They could still add more firepower to the wide receiver room if an upcoming visitor ends up signing with the squad. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that former Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars wideout Gabe Davis will travel to Pittsburgh on Wednesday to meet with the team on Thursday.

Davis played 74 NFL games since 2020. He spent three seasons with the Bills before joining the Jaguars ahead of the 2024 season. The veteran was questioned over his lack of consistency during his time in Buffalo.

The Jaguars released him on May 7. After 10 games, Davis put up 20 receptions, 239 yards and two touchdowns.

The Steelers have a strong receiving corps with Metcalf, Robert Woods, Calvin Austin III and even Pat Freiermuth, which could decrease his workload compared to his previous teams.

Adding another pass catcher could help Pittsburgh convince Rodgers that he's the last piece they need to compete.
