PHOENIX – The stage is set for Super Bowl LIX between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. This is a rematch of the Super Bowl from two years ago in Glendale, Arizona, where the world saw the beginning of the Chief’s journey of striving to achieve NFL history by securing the league’s first-ever three-peat.

Kansas City’s Dynasty is almost complete with the Eagles, the team that helped start it, now the last line of defense to stop it from coming to reality. However, if you’re an Arizona Cardinals fan you might want the Chiefs to complete the three-peat to see these three former Cardinals players hold up their first ring.

All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins signed with the Chiefs after his release from the Titans earlier this season. Cardinals fans remember the connection Kyler Murray and Hopkins had during their three seasons together in the valley.

Another connection to Murray is his former college and Cardinals teammate wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. During his tenure in Phoenix, Brown eclipsed over 1,200 receiving yards in two seasons with seven touchdowns. He joined the Chiefs this past offseason after the Cardinals and Brown weren’t able to agree to a deal.

The final former Cardinal in this year’s Super Bowl was the longest-tenured one in offensive lineman DJ Humphries. The eight-year Cardinal signed with the Chiefs in November and has served in a backup role. However, Humphries’ time in Arizona saw him play almost 100 games as a Cardinal and reach one Pro Bowl.
