The Los Angeles Chargers are set to take the field in São Paulo, Brazil, against the Kansas City Chiefs at 5 p.m. PT tonight.
Teams are only allowed to have 48 active players, along with one emergency quarterback on game days. They can also choose to elevate 2 players from the practice squad each week, with those players being OT Foster Sarrell and LS Rick Lovato, who is replacing the injured LS Josh Harris.
With that being said, here’s the list of players who will be inactive tonight for the Chargers during this divisional matchup.
OT – Foster Sarrell (Practice Squad Elevation)
TE – Tucker Fisk
TE – Oronde Gadsden II (Rookie)
NT – Naquan Jones
OLB – Kyle Kennard (Rookie)
CB – Nikko Reed (Rookie)
S – R.J. Mickens (Rookie)
Starting guard, Mekhi Becton, who popped up on the injury report with an illness this morning, is ACTIVE and is expected to play. This is great news for the continuity of the offensive line.
Hopefully, the decisions made by the front office and coaching staff on the active roster for this highly anticipated season opener work out, and enable the Los Angeles Chargers to notch their first regular season win of the season.
We will have plenty of coverage throughout the game.
