The NFLPA has released the Top 50 Players Sales list, which keeps tabs on all merchandise sold for NFL players. Three members of the Kansas City Chiefs made the cut and no one would be surprised to hear that Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are in that group.
Mahomes came in at number two while Kelce is 11th on the list. This both is and isn't surprising. It could be considered surprising because Mahomes and Kelce have been doing their thing in the league for quite some time now and it feels like anyone who had their jersey would have bought one already. At the same time, these are two of the most popular and well-known players in the NFL so seeing them in the top 10 (or just outside of it in Kelce's case) makes sense.
If Chiefs fans were told that three players appeared on the list and were to try and guess the third player, Chris Jones would probably be the popular answer. Jones is not who that player is, however. The third Chief to make an appearance in the top 50 of NFLPA's sales list is running back Isiah Pacheco, who came in at 46th.
Now, let it be known that Pacheco made the top 50 previously, coming in at 32 during his first appearance on the list. He was a fairly big name during the Chiefs' back-to-back Super Bowl wins but after the injuries he had in 2024, it didn't feel like it was a successful season for him.
That didn't seem to matter to those buying official NFL merchandise, as Pacheco was clearly still a popular pick for fans. A running back took the top spot on the list, as Saquon Barkley came in at number one as that position continues to work its way back into relevancy.
The Chiefs having three players on this list shouldn't surprise people since they're a team people are watching frequently. We'll have to see if any other Chiefs players can work their way onto this list in the coming years.
