Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has received a major break in his case.

Police arrested the 23-year-old on a misdemeanor trespassing charge in Florida last Monday, later releasing him on bond.

They had taken the player into custody after he refused to leave the Noodle Bar inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa. Addison’s mugshot went into circulation shortly after.

“On Jordan’s behalf, his legal team has already initiated the investigation, identified witnesses and (is) reviewing the viability of a claim for false arrest,” his agent, Tim Younger, said after he was arrested, per The Athletic. “He looks forward to the legal process, and upon full investigation, we are confident Mr. Addison will be exonerated.”

Younger’s statement came to fruition on Tuesday. Turns out, Addison’s charges have been dropped.

NFL insider Mike Garafolo is reporting that charges won’t be filed against Addison.

Furthermore, the WR is set to file a civil claim for wrongful arrest.

“Younger tells me Addison now will prepare for the filing of a civil claim arising from the alleged wrongful arrest,” Garafolo notes.

State Attorney Susan Lopez filed the notice of termination of prosecution this Tuesday. The sheriff’s office has also been told to release Addison’s $500 bond.

Jordan Addison started the 2025 season on suspension. The NFL banned him for three games due to a violation of its substance abuse policy. The Vikings also kept him out of the first quarter of a game against the Cleveland Browns in London in Week 5. Head coach Kevin O’Connell said it was a coach’s decision.

Addison has a worrying history of arrests.

The wideout was charged after being caught driving at 140 mph in Minnesota the summer after he was drafted and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge.

The Maryland native was also charged with DUI after a policeman found him asleep at the wheel in Los Angeles last summer. He pleaded no contest to a lesser charge but was still suspended by the league.
