Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wide Receiver Mike Evans is excited about the team’s offense for the 2025 season. He was especially bullish about the wide receiver room. Here is what he said about the unit: “This might be the best wide receiver room I’ve been a part of.” The Buccaneers qualified for the postseason for the fifth straight season thanks to their potent offense.
Tampa Bay’s offense was great last season. They were third in the league in yards per game, third in passing yards per game, and fourth in points per game. Quarterback Baker Mayfield also continued his career resurgence with the Buccaneers. He was third in passing yards and tied for second in passing touchdowns. Will the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense be as potent in 2025?

Evans is understandably excited about Tampa Bay’s receiver room heading into the year. A unit that was anchored by Evans and veteran Chris Godwin got even stronger this offseason. Tampa Bay drafted Wide Receiver Emeka Egbuka No. 19 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. Egbuka is coming off a great collegiate career at Ohio State. He will have great mentors in Evans and Godwin as he looks to acclimate to the National Football League.
Even though the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have arguably the league’s best receiving corps, their offense has other talented parts of it as well. For example, the running back tandem of Bucky Irving and Rachaad White is a potent one. They combined for over 1,600 rushing yards last season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have all the makings of a team that can compete in a loaded NFC. If the team is to reach its full potential, it will be up to the offense to shoulder the load. The unit is chalked full of weapons. Opposing defenses will not be excited about facing this offense in 2025.
