Taylor Swift expected to attend Sunday's Chiefs-Jets game, ratings will surely skyrocket

Sunday's Kansas City Chiefs-New York Jets game is going to be the must-see event of the week as Taylor Swift is expected to attend her second consecutive Chiefs game as the budding romance between her and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continues on.

That report comes via FrontOfficeSports

Her first appearance at a Chiefs game this past Sunday resulted in a massive spike in ratings for Fox, resulted in Kelce's jersey sales going through the roof and made an otherwise one-sided blowout the talk of the league.

If you thought that was intense and over the top, you are not even ready for what is about to happen this week.

Not only do you have the anticipation of what to expect given how last week's coverage was, there are so many other variables you can add into this.

The game is taking place in New York, which already brings an added spotlight. It is also a standalone game on Sunday night where the entire country will have access to it. Given the number of "Swifties" that now have a newfound interest in the NFL there is a chance this game could shatter any previous records rating for NBC. That is to say nothing of what it could do for the second-hand ticket market. The cheapest seat on StubHub as of Thursday morning was $100.

There is also a fascinating football element to this circus.

This will be the first time Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has ever started a game in New York, while you will also have the drama of Jets fans being ready to revolt with every incomplete pass that Zach Wilson throws.

Whether you are turning in for the pop culture or the football this is the perfect ratings storm for NBC.
