According to multiple reports, the Tennessee Titans are zeroing in on Mike Borgonzi to be hired as the team's new General Manager.
Borgonzi is currently the assistant GM for the Kansas City Chiefs, a role which he has held since 2021. Borgonzi has been with the Chiefs' organization since 2009 and is widely considered one of the NFL's top General Managers in waiting.
The Titans have made Borgonzi a contract offer. He has not accepted that offer or countered that offer yet, sources tell AtoZ Sports. This thing is not across the finish line just yet.

This would be a really strong hire for the Titans. It's a hire that I doubted they would be able to make. I had my reservations about whether or not a top GM candidate would have interest in the job in Tennessee.
While it comes with the 1st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Tennessee's new GM will be answering to President of Football Operations Chad Brinker. Brinker has been given full control of the roster and personnel decisions.
Look for the Titans to iron out this contract and make an official announcement shortly.
