Tennessee Vols 2026 4-star commit praised for his speed and 'outstanding hands'

One of the Tennessee Vols' most overlooked 2026 commits is easily four-star wide receiver Tyreek King.

King, 5-foot-11/170 lbs from Knoxville, TN, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 10 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of Tennessee. He's also rated as the No. 87 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

The talented wide receiver was praised this week for his performance at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge in Indianapolis.

Rivals.com's national recruiting director Adam Gorney noted that King showed elite speed and "outstanding hands" in Indianapolis.

"King was a late arrival to the Rivals Five-Star but once he got going in one-on-ones and 7-on-7, the Tennessee commit was dynamic," wrote Gorney. "He can always kick it into another gear and there always seems to be more speed for King to accelerate by defensive backs. The four-star receiver also has outstanding hands and catches everything thrown in his vicinity."

King has the potential to be an elite slot receiver in Josh Heupel's offense at Tennessee. He's the type of player that could replicate what Vols fans saw from Jalin Hyatt in 2022.

Tennessee is still in the mix for five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys (currently committed to LSU). Landing Keys and King would give the Vols one of the best wide receiver hauls in the nation during the 2026 recruiting cycle.
