Terry Bradshaw’s Absence Forces Daughter to Break Retirement Amid FOX Analysts’ Charissa Thompson Clash

Terry Bradshaw’s name will always be tied to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ glory years. Four Super Bowl rings as their quarterback and decades spent as the face of FOX’s NFL coverage. But football isn’t his only lifelong love. Away from the cameras and the field, Bradshaw has always had a deep passion for horses.

That passion began with his grandfather and grew into Terry Bradshaw Quarter Horses, which he sold in 2023 but never truly let go of. Today, the tradition lives on through his daughter, Erin Bradshaw, a World Champion equestrian. She recently celebrated another big achievement on Instagram, sprinkling in some retirement humor that showed the family’s bond goes well beyond football and into the saddle.

Erin posted an Instagram story of a certificate and a horse show ribbon with the caption “Came out of my retirement to show my dad’s horse this morning since he couldn’t be here! Not a bad little 4 am gig!”

Since he isn’t around for his horses and the exhibitions, Erin has stepped up to make sure his dad’s horses don’t miss a championship they deserve.

Erin also jokingly mentioned, “came out of my retirement,” which might be in reference to her humorous Instagram post in May, “We’ve hit retirement status. We are watching a storm with an alcoholic drink,” after a tornado hit her ranch. But it looks like the World Champion equestrian is back in action.

Erin has recently won the “ - ’ ” at the - ’ exhibition. It is a prestigious annual competition that supports the Breeders’ Trust program, organized by the American Paint Horse Association.

There are six categories in the exhibition, and Erin won the prize in the Stallion category. This category is for intact male horses that have not been castrated. Apart from the horse show ribbon, there is a certificate in the Instagram story showing the prize money of $4,808.63 that Erin won.

While Erin is busy adding trophies to her ranches, Terry is busy covering the 2025 NFL season and making headlines due to a recent clash.

Terry Bradshaw gets cut short on live TV

During a regular FOX NFL coverage, Terry Bradshaw was heard expressing his disappointment at being cut off by fellow FOX Sports host Charissa Thompson when she took a break. All of this started when guest panelist Drew Brees was asked, “Who is your Mount Rushmore of QB all time?”.

Brees first joked that Bradshaw should be there as he invited him at the horse-racing event, The Breeder’s Cup. Then he named Joe Montana and current generation Tom Brady, along with Doug Flutie.

Brees then went on to explain why Flutie is on his list, on which Terry also chimed in. But as he started talking, Thompson interrupted him and said, “We have to go to break.”

The camera then pans away, but one can hear Terry in the backdrop. He said, “I finally get to talk football, and you go to break!”

All these little moments. His mishaps on live TV to instances like these. They all point towards one thing. The inevitable retirement. His good friend, Jimmy Johnson realized it and walked away after a 31-year broadcasting career. So, one has to think: how long before Terry’s last dance?
