Following the big announcement, hundreds took to instagram to share in the excitement.
"Let's go!!!," J.J.'s brother and current Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end T.J. Watt wrote.
"Oh wow!!! Congratulations all of you!! 2 down, 9 to go for Burney 2043/44 side!!" NBC Sports Premier League host Rebecca Lowe said. Watt and his wife became minority investors in Burnley F.C. in 2023.
"Your little guy looks just like you! Welcome to your newest addition!" NBC Sunday Night Football sideline reporter Michele Tafoya commented.
Watt and his wife Kealia originally met in 2016, while he was playing for the Texans and she was a member of the NWSL's Houston Dash. They married in 2020 and welcomed their first baby boy, Koa, into the family in October 2022.
Since retiring from football following the 2022 season, the 36-year-old Watt has worked as a studio analyst for CBS Sports. This season, Watt is taking on a new role with CBS as a color commentator alongside Ian Eagle.
"Ian's the best," Watt told reporters earlier this month. "There's nothing better when you've got Ian Eagle as your partner. He's just so smooth, so witty, so smart, balanced. He will make me look good in any situation. I'm very lucky to have such a great partner."
While it's still unknown whether Watt will be on the call for any Texans games, he'll certainly be busy with his new role and baby Niko this fall.
