Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is in the headlines for multiple reasons on Monday.
Watson still can't play until early December according to the terms of his 11-game suspension related to allegations of sexual misconduct during massage sessions.
Watson returned to the Browns' team facility Monday for the first time since his ban started this past summer and reportedly "is on track" to meet the conditions for his reinstatement later this fall.
Meanwhile, the Houston Texans, the team that traded Watson to the Browns in March, have announced that they are offering an exchange program related to jerseys associated with Watson and others.
The Texans have confirmed that fans are able to "exchange select former player jerseys for 44% off a new jersey" from Monday through Saturday at the club's team shop located at NRG Stadium amid Houston's bye week.
Watson is never specifically named, but the Texans added that "select NFL licensed player jerseys eligible for exchange include Texans players originally acquired during the 2017-2021 seasons who are no longer on the Texans' roster."
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, "Watson is the Texans player acquired from 2017 through 2021 whose jersey was most heavily purchased."
The Texans initially selected Watson 12th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, and he spent five full seasons with that organization even though he didn't take a meaningful snap during the 2021 campaign following an offseason trade request.
As things currently stand, Watson will be eligible to make his Browns regular-season debut at none other than the Texans in Week 13 on Dec. 4. Cleveland has gone 2-3 without having Watson in the lineup.
The Texans entered their bye week at 1-3-1 coming off Sunday's 13-6 win over the 2-3 Jacksonville Jaguars.
