The 2025 Buccaneers: Good Teams Find a Way, Bad Teams Find an Excuse
Kim Klement Neitzel-Imagn Images

In all my years of watching Buccaneers football, I can proclaim one thing that I know will happen and that is “Injuries WILL happen!”

I chuckle when I hear people say that the Bucs are cursed because  they are losing more people to injuries than another team. Another one of my favorites is trying to  blame  the training staff or coaches when a player gets hurt. The Bucs have invested millions into their training staff and have one of the best facilities in the league. I get it, it sucks, but look around the league and every team WILL lose someone or multiple people each week. The reason why the Buccaneers have been able to overcome these injuries is because they have a great GM and put a premium on scouting and developing players. It’s also why that even missing multiple starters this week, the Bucs have enough talent to win vs Seattle. I see another close game but this year’s squad seems hell bent on not turning one loss into a losing streak. They seem to hate losing as much as they love winning. The formula is simple, stop the run and force Sam Darnold to beat them. Then on Offense, give Baker Mayfield that extra second to find the open guy and use Rachaad White and Sran Tucker to wear out the Seahawks on the ground.
