The '2-passing-TD NFL debuts' quiz

As the New York Giants head into their Week 7 matchup with the Houston Texans, they’ll do so hoping that their time with the “Jameis Winston Experience,” is behind them.

Trailing 27-10 in the fourth quarter against the Saints in Week 6, head coach John Harbaugh turned to trade acquisition and former First Round pick J.J. McCarthy. McCarthy responded with 243 yards, a touchdown, an interception and finished as the Giants leading rusher as well with 26 yards on just two carries to drag the Giants back into the contest. 

While the rally fell short with an incompletion targeted for Isiah Likely in the end zone, Harbaugh confirmed what most expected – McCarthy will get his first start of the season on the road against the Texans, who have won two games in a row after their 0-4 start. 

With the Giants still occupying first place in the NFC East but Winston looking unplayable at times in Week 6. If McCarthy can continue that level of play against a defense that has a week to prepare for him, they have a serious chance at a division title that looked like a lost cause when Jaxon Dart went down.
