The Bengals Offensive Line is Legit

All offseason long, the talk in the NFL about the Cincinnati Bengals was the lack of a defense and a lack of an offensive line. In Week one against the Buccaneers, the Bengals proved both of these false. The offensive line stepped up in a big way against Rueben Bain and Yaya Diaby. Bain didn’t win a SINGLE PASS RUSH REP against right tackle Amarius Mims, something that seems fake but is real.

Personally I’m curious why Bowles didn’t mix them around to give Mims and Orlando Brown Jr different looks, but Mims stalled out the rookie, and from the jump, Orlando Brown Jr domianted Yaya Diaby.

The interior of the offensive line did their job against Vita Vea as he didn’t impact the passing game at all, and same thing with Calijah Kancey. This was one of the best offensive tackle performances I’ve seen in recent memory, and Joe Burrow undoubtedly had an extremely clean pocket from the edges that the tackles set.

The Bengals have Will Anderson Jr and Danielle Hunter on the slate, and while this is a big test, the Bengals answered the first question of the year in a big way.
