The Indianapolis Colts may not have made many eye-opening moves during the offseason, but their biggest goal is already coming true.
That goal was to get QB Anthony Richardson healthy to be a full go for their training camp later this offseason. And that goal actually ended up being accomplished even earlier.
Richardson feels full go with no restrictions at this point, from what I've been told. Colts could be cautious with him this offseason, but he has recovered well from the shoulder injury. https://t.co/RXLLI703ux

Richardson spoke with local media after the team's 2nd day of OTA's on May 22nd, and he had the following to say about where he is in his recovery today:
"They had a plan set out when I first started, and I started in February, and I was even two months ahead. But they told me around the third week of March, I could start ripping it, and they were just trying to see how my arm took it. By the end of that first week, I was throwing 20-25 yards, and now I feel like myself again, throwing 60+."
While we won't fully know if Richardson's game going forward will be affected by his shoulder injury, it is promising that his arm strength doesn't seem to be affected at all.

Richardson being out at OTA's with his teammates isn't all that surprising when you know the type of competitor he is. I honestly think if he had the final say, he'd be out there to try his shoulder no matter where he was in his recovery. What is more important to note here is that the Colts don't seem to be trying to limit him right now. That tells you where they believe he is in his recovery, and they seem to be telling us, him and the rest of the NFL, that he is back.
OTAs are valuable reps for players to have, but the real test for Richardson will be during training camp when the intensity of these practices is increased massively. The Colts 2024 training camp is set to begin on July 25th, and I think I speak for the Colts franchise and their fans when I say I'm excited to see QB1 back under center running this offense with some dynamic playmakers at his disposal.
