The Family Of Patrick Mahomes Is Asking For Prayers

NFL fans will be keeping Patrick Mahomes' family in their prayers this weekend.

On Friday afternoon, Randi Mahomes, the mother of the two-time MVP, revealed on Instagram that her father isn't doing well. She shared a selfie of them along with this caption: "Asking for prayers for my father." It's unclear what type of health battle her father is dealing. All we can do is respect the family's wishes.

Back in September, a similar post from Patrick Mahomes' mother was shared on social media. She revealed at that time that he was receiving medical attention from a facility.

"Prayer warriors please pray for my daddy," Randi Mahomes said. "He is in the hospital and is not well."

As of right now, Patrick Mahomes hasn't commented on his grandfather's condition. Of course, he's not obligated to share every thought he has with the public.

Earlier this week, Mahomes talked about his wife Brittany being pregnant with their third child. He's hopeful they'll be able to meet their newborn child before the playoffs begin for the Kansas City Chiefs.

"I told my wife I was gonna get her the No. 1 seed so we can go have that baby," Mahomes said after the Chiefs' victory on Christmas Day. "Hopefully God works the right way and we can have that baby maybe on the bye week somewhere, and then everything will work out perfectly."

While this should be a happy time for the three-time Super Bowl champion, he probably can't fully enjoy it due to his grandfather's deteriorating health. It's also a chaotic time for him right now since the playoffs are just around the corner.

Nonetheless, we'll keep the Mahomes family in our thoughts until further notice.
