With Jason Witten at the helm, the Warriors went 46-15 and, in that time, flipped the program from a 2-8 record in his first season to 10-2 the next season, and then going 16-1 in back-to-back seasons.
Good for Witten for getting into college coaching. He could have a great coaching career, and his IQ is top-tier. Give GM Jim Nagy credit for giving Witten his opportunity in coaching. Relationships mean more down the road than at the beginning.
Demarco Murray is the running backs coach, getting all the Cowboys back together. Murray was in the Senior Bowl in 2011.
People who think the Sooners only hired Jason to help land his son, five-star 2027 linebacker from Liberty Christian High School Cooper Witten, are wrong. Oklahoma was the first to offer and have seen his abilities from the start, in a camp back on June 8, 2024.
This was a good addition to the coaching staff. The offense should see a significant improvement through his work and the talented players on the roster.
When having one of the best to ever do it, it’s important to have a little knowledge to pass down. He adds flash value to get recruits, which was one of their problems.
