The 'Last 1,000-yard rusher by NFL team' quiz

After Rico Dowdle torched the Miami Dolphins for 206 rushing yards in his first start in relief of the injured Chuba Hubbard for the Carolina Panthers, he warned the Dallas Cowboys he was coming for them next.

“They better buckle up,” he said of his Dallas – who let him leave in free agency this offseason – after the Panthers 27-24 win over Miami.

“They wasn’t buckled up,” Dowdle said after rushing for 183 yards and adding another 54 and a touchdown as a receiver to help keep the Panthers undefeated at home. The win also got the Panthers record to 3-3, marking the first time they’ve been .500 in after Week 6 since 2021. They’ll hope the rest of the season goes better than that one, when they finished 5-12 and last in the NFC South.

While there’s a good chance his role reduces when the Panthers freshly-extended Hubbard returns from his calf injury, fans in Charlotte have to be excited about the one-two punch in their backfield.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Dowdle was one of the few bright spots for the Cowboys in 2024, reaching the 1,000-yard milestone in his lone season as the top running back. With that being said, can you name the most recent player to rush for at least 1,000 yards for each NFL team?

Good luck!
