The New Orleans Saints are a franchise that needs to find a new identity under head coach Kellen Moore. This is a team that lacks talent on both sides of the football, and they will need to overhaul this roster in a major way. The 2026 NFL Draft is going to offer a big opportunity for this team to upgrade its talent and find some potential difference makers.

Figuring out the future at the quarterback position is the top priority for this team, and it should be. On top of the signal caller, this 7-round mock draft was centered around getting a lot more dynamic on both sides of the football. This will be a make-or-break haul with the Moore Era in New Orleans.

Round 1, Pick 2: LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina

Even with the Saints having selected Tyler Shough with the No. 40 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft class, the future of the quarterback position is still up in the air. Sellers is a massive athlete at 6-3 and 242 pounds, with legitimate athleticism and a huge arm. He may be rough around the edges a bit, but there is real superstar potential with Sellers. Working with Coach Moore is also a bonus.

Round 2, Pick 33: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

WIth Sellers now the man behind center, New Orleans is going to need some more wide receivers to make plays around him. Heading into the 2025 season, Tate was liked in NFL circles, but he has been a completely different player as a junior. The 6-3, 195-pound pass catcher has a massive catch radius with tremendous body control. Tate is the definition of smooth on the perimeter.

Round 3, Pick 74: Whit Weeks, LB, LSU

Weeks boasts some modern athleticism from the second level, but possesses some old school tenacity. When LSU has needed a big play over the last two years, the 6-2, 225-pound linebacker has typically been around the action. Whether you want to play him at MIKE or WILL, Weeks has the profile to do several things for his defense.

Round 5, Pick 147: Treydan Stukes, CB, Arizona

Stukes has nice size and the requisite athleticism to play at outside cornerback, but Arizona chooses to utilize him inside from the slot. From the nickel, Stukes has good movement skills and is very physical. If utilized properly, Stukes has the upside to play all over the secondary for a prospective defensive coordinator.

Round 6, Pick 190: PJ Williams, OT, SMU

The former Texas A&M transfer is a very talented right tackle prospect and has been playing well so far this season. Williams still has a way to go technically, but his talent pops consistently on film. He possesses a nice combination of foot quickness, length, and size to continue to develop.
