Only two teams in the NFL are having their veterans report for training camp this Saturday, and they happen to be division (and intrastate) rivals: the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers. 

With the Rams making noise this offseason with the acquisition of Myles Garrett and the Seattle Seahawks riding the wave of a Super Bowl victory, the 49ers have flown a bit under the radar this offseason. The San Francisco 49ers bounced back from their postseason-less 2024 with a 12-5 record last season before falling to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional.

If they’re going to compete for an NFC West title again in 2026, they’re going to need star running back Christian McCaffrey to stay healthy this season. He played in just four games for the 49ers in 2024 compared to 17 last season. Playing in the entire season, he recorded his fifth-career 1,000-rushing-yard season while adding another 904 as a receiver and combining for 17 touchdowns. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. His bounceback won him three Comeback Player of the Year Awards this season, headlined by the recognition from the Associated Press. With that being said, how many of the AP Comeback Player of the Year award winners can you name in five minutes?
