The NFL Player Who Refuses To Take The Elevator On Game Days

A good amount of NFL players have superstitious tendencies, whether that's wearing a certain pair of socks every Sunday or listening to the same pregame song. With that said, there's one player in the league who won't take the elevator on game days.

No, we're not kidding. Buffalo Bills wide receiver Mack Hollins revealed this week that he doesn't go on elevators when it's game day. His explanation for this odd behavior is pretty hilarious.

“I never take elevators on game day or any away trips. What I told them the reason why is nobody is going to carry me to success,” Hollins said. “I’m just a savage guy. Since college, I never take them. I just take the stairs.”

We somewhat understand what Hollins means by that. He doesn't even want the elevator to do his work for him on Sundays.

Would taking the elevator impact Hollins' production during the season? Probably not, but we can't knock him for sticking to this ritual.

Besides, Hollins has shared far worse information in the past. The former fourth-round pick from North Carolina previously revealed that he's not a big fan of shoes and he doesn't use utensils when he eats.

"Going with no shoes, having wild hair, eating with my hands instead of utensils, that type of stuff, that’s not bothering anybody," Hollins said. "That’s who I am. That’s what makes me happy. Do the things that make you happy in life. Like I said, life’s too short to be worried about what other people think."

Hollins is having a nice year with the Bills despite not having a huge role in the offense. He enters Week 11 with 16 receptions for 197 yards and three touchdowns.

The Bills are hoping Hollins and the rest of their wide receivers step up this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
