The 'NFL total passing-TD leaders' quiz

Happy 31st birthday to six-time Pro Bowler, three-time Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl MVP and two-time AP MVP, Patrick Mahomes!

Mahomes has already reserved himself a spot at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, but seems to be on a mission after his worst season as a starter in 2025 that ended with a torn ACL. 

Mahomes made his return to the field and helped the Chiefs destroy the Denver Broncos in Week 1 on ‘Monday Night Football.’ While the arm looked a bit rusty in the 31-10 win, his 15-yard rushing touchdown got the scoring started for Kansas City and showed his knee looks just fine after surgery. 

“Going for the end zone, it kind of gave me that confidence that I can go out there and be myself,” he told ESPN’s Nate Taylor. 

“That was definitely the moment to say all this [rehab] has paid off.”

With the Chiefs running the ball 38 times in the win over Denver, another 5,000-yard season may not be in the cards for Mahomes this year. But with what seems like it should be a potent rushing attack, Kansas City could be a problem in the AFC once again after finishing 6-11 in 2025.
