The 'QBs to make an NFL start in 2023' quiz

The Denver Broncos entered the NFL playoffs as the top-seed in the NFL playoffs, but their quest to return to the Super Bowl has hit a major speed bump. 

Starting quarterback Bo Nix fractured his ankle in overtime of the Broncos Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills, and the Broncos must turn to Jarrett Stidham to deliver a championship. 

Stidham has been in the NFL since 2019 (when he was drafted by the New England Patriots), but hasn’t made a start since the 2023 season with Denver, when he went 1-1 with 496 yards, two touchdowns and an interception after taking over for a benched Russell Wilson to close out the campaign. 

Ahead of the AFC title game, Patriots players said they aren’t taking the Broncos lightly with Stidham under center. 

“I think he can make any throw he wants with a great pocket. He’s got great mechanics and a great release time,” said pass-rusher K’Lavon Chaisson.

“He’s still a good quarterback,” linebacker Christian Gonzalez added. “We’ve seen what he’s done when he’s been in games. He’s in the NFL for a reason.
