Happy 50th birthday to one-time Pro Bowler and all-time leading rusher in Jacksonville Jaguars franchise history, Fred Taylor!
Taylor played in 13 NFL seasons, spending 11 of those in Jacksonville after being selected ninth-overall in the 1998 draft out of Florida. In his first season, he finished third in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting with 1,223 yards and 14 touchdowns on 264 carries. It would be one of seven 1,000-rushing-yard campaigns Taylor would record as a Jaguar and the high-water mark for rushing TDs in his career.
His lone Pro Bowl campaign came in 2007, when he rushed for 1,202 yards and five touchdowns for a squad that went 11-5 before losing in the Divisional Round of the playoffs to Tom Brady and the Patriots.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. When Taylor left the Jaguars after the 2008 season, he’d racked up what still stands as a Jacksonville-record of 11,271 rushing yards. With that being said, can you name the players with the most all-time rushing yards for each NFL franchise?
Good luck!
