Happy 34th birthday to three-time Pro Bowler, 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year and Super Bowl LVI champion, Odell Beckham Jr.!
OBJ was the 12th-overall pick of the New York Giants in the 2014 NFL Draft, and he immediately made an impression as one of the most exciting players in the league. He officially broke out on the national stage thanks to an iconic catch on ‘Sunday Night Football,’ against the Dallas Cowboys, but that was one of just 91 receptions and 12 touchdowns he’d rack up in 12 games.
Beckham Jr. eclipsed 1,000-receiving-yards and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons, but an injury limited him to just four games in 2017 and was effectively the end of his time as a Giant. He reached the 1,000-yard mark again in his final season in New York, a 12-game campaign in 2018 before getting traded to the Cleveland Browns.
With his days as the engine of a passing game were clearly over, Beckham Jr. was still able to help the Rams win Super Bowl LVI with 52 yards and a touchdown in the 23-20 win over the Bengals.
He’s bounced around (and out of) the NFL since 2021, playing for the Ravens, Dolphins and briefly reuniting with the Giants this season before signing with the Vikings practice squad.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. OBJ’s 13 touchdown-receptions in 2015 are still the most in one season for a Giant since the AFL/NFL merger in 1970. With that being said, can you name the player to catch the most touchdowns in one season for each NFL franchise?
Good luck!
