NFL fans will have to wait a bit longer for an update on former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Sanchez was arrested after an October altercation in downtown Indianapolis. He was getting ready to call a game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts. According to multiple reports, he allegedly attacked and injured a truck driver. As for Sanchez, he was stabbed in the chest and needed to spend time in the hospital.

When the dust settled, Sanchez was arrested on a felony count of battery and three misdemeanor charges.

According to WRTV, the criminal trial for Sanchez has been postponed for July 13. A pretrial conference will take place five days earlier.

"It is the fourth time Judge Osborn has rescheduled the trial at the request of Sanchez’s attorneys," WRTV's Michaela Springer wrote. "In November, he agreed to move the trial start date from December to March. In late February, Osborn granted a second continuance, shifting the trial date from March to April. Then, in late March, Osborn agreed to move the trial start from April to May."

What's at stake for Mark Sanchez?

Fox Sports moved on from Sanchez shortly after his arrest. He was part of a broadcast crew that featured play-by-play announcer Adam Amin and sideline reporter Kristina Pink.

"While the recent news -- and its timing -- is understandably disappointing, our priority remains his continued healing and recovery," Sanchez's brother Nick said. "Mark deeply values his time at FOX and the exceptional colleagues he's had the privilege to work with. Those relationships are meaningful and will endure."

Since Sanchez is facing a Level 5 felony battery charge, the maximum penalty is six years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

We'll know more about Sanchez's situation once the summer begins.
