Throughout most of the NFL season fans are resigned to seeing just one game on Thursday nights.
Beholden to watching just two teams - whom they might not be a fan of in the first place - fans might choose to do something else with their Thursday. Well, that won't be the case this week as the NFL dominates Thanksgiving with three games on the slate.
From 12:30 p.m. ET kick of the first game to the end of an 8:20 p.m. ET game fans will be locked in to NFL action for the better part of 12 hours.
The first game of the day pits NFC North rivals against each other as the dominant Lions square off against the struggling Bears. Chicago started the season with a 4-2 record and looked like NFC contenders with No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams playing his best football. However, the Bears have now lost five games in a row and already made changes to the offensive coaching staff. The Lions, meanwhile, have won nine games in a row - five by at least 13 points - and look like arguably the best team in the league.
The second game on the slate features two teams heading in the wrong direction. New York made the interesting decision to release former starting quarterback Daniel Jones in favor of cult hero Tommy DeVito in a move that had players questioning head coach Brian Daboll. The Cowboys, on the other hand, entered the season with Super Bowl aspirations but quickly found out that wasn't reality. Dallas did surprisingly upset the Washington Commanders last weekend so it could be riding high into the NFC East showdown.
The final game of the day might be a challenge for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as the Dolphins travel to Green Bay. In his NFL career, the former Alabama star is 0-7 in games played under 40 degrees. Thursday's forecast calls for a high temperature of 31 degrees, with temperatures dropping to 25 degrees at kickoff.
With that said, lets' take a look at the schedule for Thanksgiving Day:
