Three Best Fantasy Football Running Back Pickups Ahead Week 7 In NFL

Some fantasy football managers are feeling confident, looking to find the best depth for their playoff push. Others are 1-5 and clinging to hope. For those in need of a running back this week, these are the top three widely available. All stats, reports, and rankings provided by Sleeper.

Bam Knight – Arizona Cardinals (37% Fantasy Rostered)

By combining the opportunity of teammate injury and his own consistency, Arizona Cardinals’ running back Bam Knight has worked himself atop the team’s depth chart. The ceiling isn’t spectacular behind the injured and subpar offense, but he can bring a steady floor to fill the bottom of a lineup. It’s difficult to find any RB1 in the NFL not worthy of a look. He should be locked in that position until Trey Benson is eligible to return in Week Ten.

Sean TuckerTampa Bay Buccaneers (58% Fantasy Rostered)

He might be tough to find in deep dynasty leagues, but fantasy managers should see if Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ running back Sean Tucker is available. Reports have Bucky Irving out until no earlier than Week Eight, and even that is the best-case scenario. Tucker is a steady floor player as RB2 behind Rachaad White going into Week Seven. If White or Irving sees further injury trouble, the value of this addition shoots back up.

Kendre MillerNew Orleans Saints (45% Fantasy Rostered)

With a recent +18% jump in ownerships, fantasy managers best run to the waiver wire now. His numbers don’t jump off the page, but there’s potential for teams in need. New Orleans Saints’ running back Kendre Miller is listed as RB2, but gets enough touches for fantasy relevance, averaging 9.6 rush attempts per game, over the last three games. The value is just an injury or trade to Alvin Kamara away from being unbenchable.

End Of My Fantasy Football Rant

The running back crop this week lacks immediate high-end potential, but these three can all be started in a pinch. Knight is the only of the three listed RB1 on their team, so that’s the place to start shopping for running back needs.
