Three best 'Hard Knocks' storylines for the Baltimore Ravens

On Monday, HBO and NFL Films announced that "Hard Knocks: In Season" is covering the AFC North during the 2024 season.

There are several juicy storylines in what will likely be the NFL's toughest division once again. Here are the three best storylines for the Baltimore Ravens.

1. Lamar Jackson's quest for his third MVP

Jackson earned his second NFL MVP last season after throwing for 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns and rushing for 821 yards and five touchdowns.

The 27-year-old remains one of the most difficult players to defend in the league heading into his seventh season and that's unlikely to change after pairing him with running back Derrick Henry in the backfield.

Opposing teams won't know who to guard, likely resulting in both Jackson and Henry having big 2024 campaigns. Will it be enough to earn Jackson his third MVP?

2. Derrick Henry joins the NFL's No. 1 rushing offense

The Ravens had the best rushing offense in the league a year ago, averaging 156.5 rushing yards per game, and are looking to repeat as the NFL's best with the addition of Henry.

The two-time NFL rushing yards and touchdowns leader (2019, 2020) will give them a great chance to do just.

Health will remain the biggest factor for the 30-year-old, but he has been durable throughout his eight-year NFL career and showed no signs of slowing down in 2023, rushing for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns.

If Henry can stay healthy, Baltimore may have its most dominant rush attack ever.

3. How will Ravens rebound after another disappointing playoff run?

Baltimore was one of the best teams in the league last year, boasting the NFL's best regular-season record (13-4).

However, the team fell short of winning when it mattered most once again, losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC title game.

The Ravens losing in January has almost become a yearly occurrence. Jackson is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, but his 2-4 record in the playoffs is a bit underwhelming.

Will the 2024 season finally be the year Baltimore reaches expectations or will they come up short again?
