Three must-see games for 2025 Buffalo Bills

They did so despite getting just 67 yards from leading rusher James Cook and a season-low 127 yards and no touchdowns from quarterback Josh Allen. Meanwhile, Ravens running back Derrick Henry averaged 5.3 yards per carry for 84 yards and a score, while quarterback Lamar Jackson averaged 10.2 yards per attempt with a pair of touchdowns.

Jackson, a former NFL MVP, had the best year of his career with 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns and four interceptions in the regular season but was runner-up to Allen for last year’s award. That and last year’s playoff loss shouldn’t sit well with the 28-year-old passer. He’ll start the 2025 season with something to prove against Allen and the Bills.

Week 9 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

For the sixth time in as many years, Buffalo will face Kansas City in a regular-season game, but this time the Bills will have something to prove when they welcome the Chiefs to Highmark Stadium.

Kansas City beat Buffalo 32-29 in last year’s AFC Championship game, giving Allen a 0-4 record against the Chiefs in the postseason. Of course, this game should be no problem for the Bills, as Allen has a 4-1 record against Kansas City in regular-season games. 

Last year, Allen went 27-of-40 for 262 yards and ran for a team-high 55 yards in a 30-21 home win over the Chiefs in Week 11. Bills fans hope Allen still has enough mid-season magic to get past the defending AFC champions in early November.

Week 14 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

The AFC arguably has the league’s three best quarterbacks in Allen, the Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes and the Bengals' Joe Burrow. The 28-year-old quarterback carried his Bengals to the Super Bowl in 2022 and already has three 4,000-yard seasons on his resume.

After missing seven games in 2023, Burrow bounced back to lead the league with 4,918 yards and 43 touchdowns in 2024. He’s also fortunate to have two of the NFL’s best receivers in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on the roster.

Chase led all NFL receivers with 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns last season while Higgins tied Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson for the sixth-most touchdowns (10) despite playing in only 12 games.

Including playoffs, the Bills and Bengals have met 34 times, with each team winning 17 games. Allen and Burrow have played each other twice in their career, with Burrow winning once in the regular season and once in the playoffs.
