Three Ravens named to NFLPA's All-Pro Team

The National Football League Players Association announced its second annual Players' All-Pro Team, voted on by the players themselves. Three deserving Ravens made the cut.

QB Lamar Jackson, LB Roquan Smith and safety Kyle Hamilton have earned the respect of their peers as they are the three players representing Baltimore, which has the third most players named to the team behind the Dallas Cowboys (five) and San Francisco 49ers (four).

Jackson is arguably the most deserving player on the team as he is the favorite to win the league MVP. The six-year veteran threw for a career-high 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns while adding 821 yards and five touchdowns on the ground as well.

The 2019 NFL MVP may just win his second such award after leading Baltimore to the league's best record (13-4) and owning the No. 1 seed in the AFC. He's been worth every penny of his five-year, $260M contract.

The Ravens' five-year, $100M deal they gave Smith has paid massive dividends as well. The six-year veteran totaled 158 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one interception and eight passes defensed in his first full season in Baltimore.

Smith has quickly become the leader of the defense, which is exactly why the NFLPA wanted him to be the quarterback of its defense on the Players' All-Pro Team.

Jackson and Smith both had great seasons, but the most impressive name on the list might be Hamilton, who is in just his second year in the league.

Hamilton, a first-round pick in 2022, burst onto the scene this season, posting 81 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, four interceptions 13 passes defensed and one touchdown. Like Smith, Hamilton will be a key piece to the defense for many years to come.

There are two Ravens that seem to be lacking the respect they deserve, however, — center Tyler Linderbaum and DT Justin Madubuike.

Linderbaum, a first-round pick in 2022, has quickly established himself as one of the best centers in the game, allowing zero sacks on 917 snaps this season, per Pro Football Focus. Madubuike, a third-round pick in 2020, broke out with a career-high 56 tackles, 13 sacks and two forced fumbles.

Maybe a run to the Super Bowl will earn them the respect they deserve.
