Three realistic options for Ravens at pick No. 22

The Ravens only have five picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, making each pick even more important. Here is three realistic options Baltimore could go with at pick No. 22.

CB Deonte Banks, Maryland

This would be an obvious choice if Banks is still available at No. 22. The Ravens have a glaring hole at the position and it remains a question of who will play across from CB Marlon Humphrey in the secondary.

Banks could come in and start from day one if need be and he wouldn't have to move too far either.

The 22-year-old ranks as Pro Football Focus's No. 18 overall prospect and the third-best cornerback on its big board after posting 38 tackles, one interception and eight passes defensed in 2022.

"What an athlete ... he easily mirrored receivers at all levels of the field," PFF writes.

WR Quentin Johnston, TCU

Baltimore added veteran receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor in free agency, but it wouldn't hurt to take another swing at receiver.

The Ravens haven't had the best of luck with drafting receivers but the big-bodied receiver, standing at 6-foot-3, 208 pounds, could turn the tide.

He totaled 60 catches for 1,069 yards and six touchdowns in 2022 and ranks PFF's No. 25 overall prospect and the third-best wide receiver.

"Johnston is a force of nature," PFF added.

QB Hendon Hooker, Tennessee

This could be a very controversial pick as it could further hurt Baltimore's relationship with QB Lamar Jackson. However, with so much uncertainty surrounding the position beyond 2023, the Ravens could go with Hooker as an insurance policy.

There are certainly some concerns with Hooker as he is 25 and coming off a torn ACL, but he was impressive from 2021-22, passing for 6,080 yards, 58 touchdowns and just five interceptions. He also added 1,050 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.

Hooker, who ranks as PFF's No. 47 overall prospect and the fifth-best quarterback, could easily be the Ravens' pick at No. 22 if the other top cornerbacks, wide receivers and quarterbacks are somehow gone.

"Hooker is a gifted runner with an NFL-caliber right arm," PFF writes.
