Brighter days are ahead for the Tennessee Titans. Despite being the worst team in professional football a season ago, the franchise has a positive outlook after making several major changes to the operation this offseason.
General manager Mike Borgonzi is now in charge of the roster construction, and the offensive line is built well around the team's top draft pick, quarterback Cam Ward. The Titans were not devoid of talent last year, so the rookie is stepping into a great situation.
Veteran running back Tony Pollard had a career year in 2024, totaling 1,079 rushing yards on 4.2 yards per carry. He also contributed 41 catches for 238 yards.
At the end of last season, however, Pollard suffered an injury that has caused Titans fans to be concerned. Fortunately, he provided clarity on that injury in a recent media availability.
"I'm feeling great. Feeling great and ready to go," Pollard said. "I had, kind of like, a bad high-ankle sprain later in the season that I kind of played through. But after the season, I took a little time off and let it heal on its own and now it's good."
Titans fans should be breathing a sigh of relief after hearing that Pollard has a clean bill of health. At times, he was the only thing working for the Tennessee offense last season, and rookie quarterback Cam Ward will need to lean on him early in his career.
