Titans add veteran pass catcher to help fill a specific need
Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

The Tennessee Titans continue to add experience through free agency by agreeing to terms with tight end Nick Vannett on Monday.

Vannett, 31, has been round the block in his nine-year career. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. After spending nearly four years in Seattle, Vannett has had a cup of coffee with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Vannett, who is considered more of an inline blocking tight end, has totaled 91 career receptions for 877 receiving yards and six touchdowns in his career. He has 94 games of experience in the NFL with 43 starts under his belt.

Standing at six-foot-five and 257 pounds, Vannett will enter training camp as the frontrunner for the team's third tight end behind Chig Okonkwo and Josh Whyle.
