The Tennessee Titans broke ground on their new stadium just over a year ago and hosted several members of the media at the site on Monday. The new stadium, also called Nissan Stadium, is being built just 94 feet from the Titans' current home but will feature a slew of upgrades.
Not only will the new grounds have a mosh pit for over 300 Titans fans to enjoy during home games, but the stadium will have 64,000 seats and 132 suits according to ESPN's Turron Davenport. The team also reported today that the new Nissan Stadium is scheduled for completion on February 17, 2027, and will be ready by the 2027 season, as planned.
The new stadium cost $2.1 billion, a large sum of which was subsidized by the public. The old stadium had more seating and suites, but Davenport also noted that the new Nissan Stadium will have a closed top featuring an ETFE roof that is identical to the Las Vegas Raiders' Allegiant Stadium.
Jim Wyatt of Titans.com spent the day at the new stadium grounds on Monday. There, he showed some of the stadium's progress and spoke with several people involved with the project.

While it has undergone several name changes in its 26-year history, the old Nissan Stadium has been the home of the Tennessee Titans since it was built in 1999. Now, the franchise will have the opportunity to turn a new leaf in a state-of-the-art stadium that bears the same name, and in a way, honors it.
