Titans giving Amani Hooker a contract extension sends an even more important message heading into the franchise’s future

Former general manager Jon Robinson's best draft in seven years at the helm included defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, receiver A.J. Brown, guard Nate Davis, Hooker, and linebackers D'Andre Walker and David Long.

One of the lone bright sports still remaining on the Titans roster, Hooker had a career-high five interceptions in 2024.

The Iowa product's presence in Tennessee's secondary is a stabilizing force. While depth is an obvious question on the current roster, Hooker alongside 2025 third-round safety Kevin Winston Jr., Xavier Woods and corners L'Jarius Sneed, Roger McCreary and Jarvis Brownlee, Jr. should make for an above-average unit. The Titans will need them to be with obvious pass-rush deficiencies up front.

Tennessee opens the 2025 regular season on September 7 in Denver against the Broncos.
