Titans HC Mike Vrabel: RB Derrick Henry 'looked good' on practice field

The Tennessee Titans ended any remaining questions about the subject when they officially designated All-Pro running back Derrick Henry to return from injured reserve Wednesday after he missed the second half of the season due to the foot injury he suffered during a win over the Indianapolis Colts on Halloween.

That opened the 21-day practice window for the Titans to either elevate Henry to the active roster or shut him down through the entire playoffs, and head coach Mike Vrabel teased when speaking with media members Friday that the NFL's reigning two-time rushing champion could potentially make a cameo against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

"I think he looked good," Vrabel said of Henry, via Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "Two days on the turf, we’ll see where he’s at tomorrow and see how he responds, but I feel good about where he’s at."

Tennessee will clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs, a first-round bye, and home-field advantage with a victory at a 4-12 Houston side that has nothing to play for other than pride in Week 18. For what it's worth, though, the Texans notched a shocking 22-13 upset win over the Titans back in Week 11 on Nov. 21.
