Titans Linked to Former Jarvis Brownlee Jr. Teammate in NFL Draft

The Tennessee Titans have made a ginormous shift this offseason under first-year general manager Mike Borgonzi. Gone are the days of overpaying veterans that underperform, as evidenced by the release of star edge rusher Harold Landry III at the beginning of free agency.

Borgonzi is targeting players that he can trust, and that started with the signings of veterans like offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr. and linebacker Cody Barton. However, the team will have to take a gamble on a few players in the draft. On Wednesday, ESPN's Turron Davenport reported  that the Titans were hosting Louisville cornerback Quincy Riley on a pre-draft visit.

Riley already has several connections to the franchise, as he started opposite Titans starting cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. when the two played together at Louisville. He also began his college career at Middle Tennessee State, which is just down the road from the Titans' home stadium.

He is an older prospect as he just finished his sixth season of college football, but he improved every year, which culminated in Second-Team All-ACC honors during his final campaign. Riley had 15 interceptions while in college, and he may be the exact kind of ball-hawk cornerback that Tennessee needs on their defense next season.
