Titans Make WR Move After Calvin Ridley Update

The Tennessee Titans have made several roster moves ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the Cleveland Browns, including elevating wide receiver K.J. Osborn and running back Kalel Mullings from the practice squad.

The Titans also promoted defensive lineman Timmy Horne to the active roster. Linebacker Dorian Mausi, meanwhile, will not be activated for the game and has been ruled out.

The decisions come as Tennessee prepares for a Cleveland team that enters Week 7 with a 4-2 record. The Titans are 1-5 and will host the Browns at Nissan Stadium.

According to Jim Wyatt, the Titans’ senior writer and editor, Osborn and Mullings will be gameday elevations for the matchup. Horne’s promotion gives Tennessee another defensive lineman on its active roster, while Mausi will remain unavailable for Sunday’s contest.

Calvin Ridley’s status is another issue for Tennessee’s offense. The wide receiver is listed as questionable with a hip injury after missing practice Thursday and Friday. He was limited during Wednesday’s session, leaving uncertainty about his availability against Cleveland.

Ridley’s potential absence would be worth monitoring for a Titans offense looking for consistency. However, his questionable designation does not confirm that he will miss the game.

Osborn’s elevation gives Tennessee another receiver available for Sunday’s matchup. The veteran has previously played for the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots, providing NFL experience to the Titans’ receiving group. His elevation does not, by itself, establish what role he will have against Cleveland.

Mullings also gets an opportunity to join the active gameday roster. The running back adds another option to Tennessee’s backfield, although his expected workload has not been established in the available announcement.

Horne, meanwhile, returns to the active roster after spending time on Tennessee’s practice squad. He recorded two tackles in his previous appearance for the Titans against the Indianapolis Colts, according to the team’s announcement.

The Browns present a difficult test for a Tennessee team trying to improve its record. Cleveland is tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens at 4-2 in the AFC North, while the Titans sit last in the AFC South.

Sunday’s game is scheduled for noon CDT at Nissan Stadium. Tennessee’s final decisions on Ridley and its other questionable players will help determine which options are available when the Titans take the field.
