Titans Reporter Reveals 3 Positions of Concern Ahead of 2025 Season

The Tennessee Titans needed to make dramatic organizational changes after a brutal three-win campaign in 2024. Fortunately, owner Amy Adams Strunk made the choice to replace general manager Ran Carthon with Chiefs executive Mike Borgonzi.

Borgonzi spent the entire offseason rebuilding the Titans' roster. This included major moves like the release of former All-Pro edge rusher Harold Landry III and the selection of quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Tennessee did not stop there, as they handed out several major contracts in free agency and selected a total of nine new players in this year's draft.

Unfortunately, a team with the NFL's worst record cannot be rebuilt in just one offseason. Titans reporter Easton Freeze recently revealed three positions on the roster in particular that are concerning ahead of the 2025 season.

"EDGE, easily," Freeze wrote. "CB and LB scare me right now too."

This offseason, the Titans got rid of Landry and picked up veteran Dre'Mont Jones and second-round pick Oluwafemi Oladejo to replace him. As far as the cornerback position, that could be solved with L'Jarius Sneed returning from injury.

Sneed, who signed a $76 million deal with the Titans after being acquired via trade last offseason, is yet to participate in the team's offseason program. However, head coach Brian Callahan seems confident that he will return to play at a high level.

Tennessee lost linebacker Kenneth Murray this offseason and essentially replaced him with free agent signing Cody Barton. However, the depth is severely lacking at that position.

The Titans open up the season on the road against the Denver Broncos in Week 1. Last year, the Broncos won 10 games and made the playoffs, so this will be an early test for Tennessee.
