Tom Brady lands endorsement deal with Subway, which he would never eat

Tom Brady's latest endorsement deal makes no sense.

According to Terry Lefton of the Sports Business Journal, Brady has landed an endorsement deal with Subway and has already shot a commercial for the sandwich giant. However, it will not feature him holding or eating an actual Subway sandwich.

What's more bizarre about this deal is that Brady said during an appearance on Dax Shephard's podcast lastt September that he can no longer stomach chain restaurants like Subway.

"Over time, what I've noticed is that my taste buds change," Brady said. "I went from, I loved Subway and Burger King and all those types of things, to now, it's like, the thought of that is like no way! No way!"

Brady also ripped into companies like Subway in his book, "The TB12 Method." The seven-time Super Bowl champion called food giants like Subway "chemical companies," adding that our bodies "become toxic" when we eat food like Subway.

Brady has been very open about his restrictive diet in recent years, so it'll be interesting to see how Subway plans to use the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB in its latest advertisement.

The commercial certainly won't be anything like Brady's former head coach Bill Belichick's. The New England Patriots head coach is pictured enjoying a Subway footlong, which Brady wouldn't do in a million years.
